柔かい答

旧約聖書　箴言　第１５章１－２節です。

「柔かい答は憤りをとどめ、激しい言葉は怒りをひきおこす。

知恵ある者の舌は知識をわかち与え、愚かな者の口は愚かを吐き出す。」

いろいろいいかえると、理解しやすい。


King James Version (KJV):

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright : but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.


World English Bible (WEB):

A gentle answer turns out wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of fools gush out folly.


Bible in Basic English (BBE):

By a soft answer wrath is turned away, but a bitter word is a cause of angry feelings.

Knowledge is dropping from the tongue of the wise; but from the mouth of the foolish comes a stream of foolish words.
